Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how YESH Studios LLC ("Ringoz", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Ringoz mobile application (the "App"), the Ringoz website ringoz.ai, and the public pages we host for ringtones that people choose to share.
We have written this policy to describe what the App actually does, including the parts that are easy to gloss over: we use a persistent identifier to recognise your installation, we work with advertising partners on the free tier, and ringtones you choose to share are published on the open internet.
By using Ringoz, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Company Information
YESH Studios LLC
142 W 57 ST
New York, NY 10019
United States
Privacy contact: contact@ringoz.ai
2. Information We Collect
Ringoz does not require you to create an account, choose a password, or give us your email address. That does not mean we hold no information about you. Instead of an account, the App creates a persistent install identifier the first time you open it — a random value stored on your device. It is not your name and it is not supplied by Apple or Google, but it is stable: it stays the same across sessions, and it is the primary key that links together nearly everything described in this section.
Throughout this policy we describe data tied to that identifier as pseudonymous — meaning it is not directly labelled with your legal identity, but it is not anonymous: it is attached to an identifier that singles out your installation over time, and in some cases it sits alongside a name you typed yourself.
2.1 Information you provide
- Text you type to create a ringtone — your "hook" (the words the ringtone sings or says) and related creative inputs.
- The name you type — the App asks for a name to personalise your ringtones. If you enter your own name, it is your name. This value is attached to your analytics profile (see §5) as well as to the ringtones you create, and it appears on any ringtone you choose to share publicly (see §8).
- Other people's names and details, if you type them. Hook text is free-form. If you write a ringtone about a friend, a colleague, or any other real person, that person's name (and anything else you wrote) is processed by us and by the providers listed in §5, and is published if you choose to share the ringtone.
- App preferences and settings.
- Contact information you volunteer — for example, the email address you use to write to support, to submit a data-deletion request, or (if and when the feature is offered) to link an account to your installation.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you use the App we collect, and associate with your install identifier:
- Install identifier — the persistent, pseudonymous value described above.
- Device and software information — device type and model class, operating system and version, App version, language and locale settings.
- IP address — the internet address your device connects from. Your most recent IP address is stored on our record for your installation, and IP and related network signals are used to derive your approximate country (see §2.3).
- Usage and interaction data — which features you use, when you create ringtones, how many you create, playback and download actions, error and queue events. This stream is identified by your install identifier and is not anonymous.
- Subscription and entitlement state — whether you are on the free tier, hold an active subscription, or hold a timed pass, and related purchase events, received from our subscription provider (see §5). We do not receive your payment card details (§9).
- Attribution and campaign data — information about how you came to install the App, including advertising campaign, ad-network and creative identifiers, referring links, and (on iOS) Apple's advertising identifier only if you allow tracking. Campaign identifiers are retained on our record for your installation. See §7 for how this is collected and when.
- Advertising interaction events — on the free tier, records of ads being requested, shown, completed, skipped, failed, or rewarded, and the resulting in-app benefit. See §6.
- Push notification token — the device token issued by Apple or Google that lets us deliver notifications, if you enable them (see §17).
- Crash reports and performance diagnostics — including stack traces, device state, App version, and your IP address, which our diagnostics provider is configured to include in error reports. See §5.
2.3 Location
Ringoz does not collect GPS or precise location data. The App does not request location permission and does not access your device's location services.
We do, however, derive your approximate country from your IP address and related network signals (including the country header supplied by our content-delivery network). We use that country-level signal to:
- route ringtone generation to the appropriate processing capacity;
- determine which advertising is eligible to be shown to you and which consent flow applies to you (see §6);
- apply regional legal requirements; and
- understand, in aggregate, where the App is used.
We state this plainly because "we do not collect location" alone would be misleading: country-level location is derived, and it does affect what you see.
2.4 Information we do not collect
Ringoz does not collect:
- your contacts or address book;
- your photos or media library;
- microphone or camera recordings;
- GPS or other precise location data;
- health, biometric, genetic, or financial account data;
- the contents of your personal communications;
- special-category / sensitive personal data as those terms are defined under EEA/UK and US state privacy laws.
3. Generated Content
Audio you create in the App ("generated content") is treated as your content.
- Ringtones you generate are stored on our cloud infrastructure so you can play, download, set, and re-download them.
- Generated content is associated with your install identifier, together with the hook text, the name you typed, and the style you chose.
- Ringtone generation runs on our own processing system, which we refer to publicly as TTR-1. Your inputs are processed to produce the audio you requested.
- Your content is retained as described in §11, and is deleted as described in §12.
- Because the App has no password-protected account, your library is tied to the installation on the device. If you delete and reinstall the App, or move to a new device, your install identifier changes and your previous library and any unused in-app benefits are generally not recoverable. Purchases made through the app stores can usually be restored through the store.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- provide and operate the App and the website;
- generate ringtones you request, and store them for you;
- recognise your installation across sessions so your library, entitlements, and preferences persist;
- operate the free tier, including queueing, anti-abuse measures, and the ad-supported mechanics described in §6;
- process and validate subscriptions, timed passes, and restorations;
- deliver, measure, and (where permitted) personalise advertising on the free tier;
- measure marketing effectiveness and understand which campaigns bring people to Ringoz;
- host and measure public share pages for ringtones you choose to share (§8);
- diagnose crashes, monitor performance, and improve reliability and quality;
- understand how features are used so we can improve them;
- send notifications you have enabled;
- provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
5. Service Providers and Other Recipients
We use a small number of third-party providers to run Ringoz. Each receives only the data it needs for its function. The table below names them and states what each one gets.
| Provider | What it does for Ringoz | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| PostHog (product analytics; United States) | Records how the App is used so we can improve it | Your install identifier as the profile key, plus the name you typed, platform, App version, locale, country, subscription state, feature and generation events, and advertising interaction events |
| AppsFlyer (mobile attribution and link routing) | Measures which campaigns and shared links lead to installs; routes share links to the right store and, where configured, to the shared ringtone after install | Device and network signals used for attribution matching, campaign/ad identifiers, install and in-app events, and the shared-ringtone reference carried by a share link. Campaign identifiers are also retained on our own record for your installation |
| RevenueCat (subscription management) | Validates and tracks purchases, subscriptions, timed passes, and restorations | Your install identifier, store purchase receipts and status, platform and country. Not your card details |
| Google AdMob (advertising) | Serves rewarded, interstitial, native, and banner advertising on the free tier, and operates the consent form shown to EEA/UK users | Advertising and device identifiers, IP address, ad requests and interactions, and your consent state where applicable |
| Additional advertising partners, including a webview-based rewarded-ad provider | Serves certain rewarded ad placements inside an in-app web view | Data collected by that partner directly from your device when the ad loads, which may include device and advertising identifiers, IP address, browser/user-agent data, and ad interaction data, under that partner's own privacy policy |
| Sentry (crash and performance diagnostics; United States) | Captures crashes, errors, and performance data | Error and diagnostic events including device and App state and — by our configuration — your IP address |
| Expo (push notification delivery) | Delivers push notifications to Apple's and Google's services | Your push token and the notification payload |
| Amazon Web Services (cloud hosting; United States, us-east-1) | Hosts our servers, storage, databases, generation capacity, share pages, and logs | All data described in this policy, as our hosting provider; includes server access logs containing IP addresses |
| Apple App Store / Google Play | Process purchases and distribute the App | See §9 |
We do not permit these providers to use your information for their own unrelated purposes, except where a provider acts as an independent controller of the data it collects directly from your device — which is the case for advertising partners (see §6).
6. Advertising
The free tier of Ringoz is supported by third-party advertising. Paid tiers remove third-party ads.
6.1 What ads you may see
On the free tier you may see:
- rewarded ads — ads you choose to watch in exchange for an in-app benefit;
- interstitial ads — full-screen ads shown at natural breaks, including when you return to the App;
- native ads — ads presented within App content; and
- banner ads.
Rewarded ads are voluntary. You are told what you receive before you start one, you can decline, and declining does not remove access to the free tier — it only means you do not receive that particular benefit. Completion of a rewarded ad is confirmed by the ad partner and validated on our servers before the benefit is granted.
6.2 What advertising partners collect
When an ad is requested or displayed, our advertising partners may collect directly from your device:
- advertising and device identifiers;
- your IP address, and an approximate location derived from it;
- device, operating system, and app information;
- data about ads served to you and your interactions with them (impressions, taps, completions, rewards); and
- for the webview-based rewarded provider, standard web signals such as user-agent and cookies or similar storage within that ad view.
Advertising partners handle this data under their own privacy policies and, for some purposes, as independent controllers rather than as our service providers. We also record ad-interaction events in our own analytics (§5) so we can understand how the free tier performs.
6.3 Personalised and non-personalised ads
Ads may be personalised (selected using data about you and your interests, including data collected across other apps and websites) or non-personalised (selected using context and coarse signals such as country and content). Which you receive depends on your region, your consent or device settings, and the ad partner's configuration.
6.4 EEA, UK, and Switzerland
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, the App shows you a certified consent form, provided through our advertising partner's consent platform, before personalised advertising or the associated data collection takes place. You can choose to refuse. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the privacy or consent option in the App's settings, and your new choice applies going forward.
6.5 United States
Today, users in the United States are not shown an additional in-app advertising consent prompt. Ads are served on the free tier by default. You can limit ad personalisation using the controls your device and operating system provide:
- iOS — Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (and the App's own tracking prompt, see §7); Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
- Android — Settings → Privacy → Ads (delete or reset the advertising ID, opt out of ad personalisation).
You may also use the opt-out mechanisms offered by individual advertising partners in their own privacy policies.
7. Analytics, Attribution, and App Tracking Transparency
7.1 Attribution happens at first launch
We measure which marketing campaigns and shared links lead people to install Ringoz. This matters for what follows: install and attribution data is collected when you first open the App — before any tracking prompt is shown, and regardless of how you answer it.
That first-launch measurement uses probabilistic matching: signals such as your IP address, device and operating system characteristics, locale, and timing are compared against recent ad clicks and link opens to estimate which campaign or shared link you came from. It does not use Apple's advertising identifier, and it does not depend on your answer to the tracking prompt. The resulting campaign and ad identifiers are retained on our record for your installation.
We describe this plainly because the previous version of this policy implied that no attribution data was collected before consent. That was not accurate.
7.2 What the iOS tracking prompt actually controls
On iOS, the App may present Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Your answer controls identifier-based tracking: whether apps like ours may access Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) and use it to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, including for personalised advertising.
- If you allow tracking: the advertising identifier may be used for attribution and for personalised advertising by our partners.
- If you decline tracking: the advertising identifier is not used. The probabilistic first-launch attribution described in §7.1 still occurs, and ads may still be shown on the free tier as non-personalised advertising.
You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
7.3 Product analytics
Separately from advertising, we record how the App is used — features opened, ringtones generated, playback and download actions, errors, and subscription state — keyed to your install identifier and, where you have entered it, associated with the name you typed. This stream is pseudonymous, not anonymous. We use it to understand and improve the product, not to build advertising profiles.
8. Shared Content and Public Share Pages
This section is new, and it is important. Please read it before you share a ringtone.
8.1 Sharing publishes your ringtone to the open internet
When you choose to share a ringtone, we publish it at a public web address on ringoz.ai (a link in the form ringoz.ai/r/…). The published page can include:
- the name you typed,
- the hook text you wrote,
- the audio itself, playable and downloadable, and
- a rendered video version of the ringtone, with the name and hook text displayed in the frames, for posting to social platforms.
The link is unauthenticated. Anyone who has the link — not only the person you sent it to — can open the page, play the audio, download it, and forward the link. Anyone the recipient forwards it to can do the same. Share links are never reused for a different ringtone.
Sharing is always your choice. Nothing is published unless you share it.
8.2 If your ringtone mentions someone else
Hook text is free-form, and many ringtones are made about another person. If you share a ringtone that names or describes someone, that person's name and the words you wrote become publicly accessible, and that person may not use Ringoz and may never have agreed to this. Please think about that before you share, and see our Terms for your responsibilities.
If you are named in a shared ringtone, or you believe shared content infringes your rights, contact us at contact@ringoz.ai and we will review the request and can remove the page.
8.3 Measurement of share pages
We measure how share pages perform, including for visitors who have never installed the App. For each visit we record:
- the visit itself, and whether the page was requested by a person's browser or by a link-preview service (for example, when a link is pasted into a messaging app);
- plays of the audio, downloads, and taps on the page's buttons;
- approximate country, derived from network signals;
- device class (for example, iOS, Android, or desktop) derived from your browser's user-agent; and
- which version of the page you were shown, where we are testing alternatives.
Visitors are not asked to identify themselves and we do not create a profile linking a visitor to a named individual from these events. Where a visitor goes on to install the App from a share link, our attribution provider (§5) may connect that install to the share link that produced it.
9. Payments
All purchases — subscriptions and one-time passes — are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms and privacy policies. Ringoz never receives or stores your payment card number, bank details, or other financial account information. We receive only the purchase and entitlement status described in §2.2, through our subscription provider (§5).
10. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We share information as described in §5 (service providers and other recipients), §6 (advertising partners), and §8 (content you choose to publish).
We may also disclose information:
- to comply with applicable law, legal process, or an enforceable governmental request;
- to enforce our Terms or investigate potential violations;
- to detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, security, or technical issues;
- to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ringoz, our users, or the public; and
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honour this policy or give you notice and a choice as required by law.
On "selling" and "sharing" personal information: we do not sell personal information for money. We do, however, disclose device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, and ad-interaction data to advertising partners to serve ads on the free tier, and some of those partners use that data across other apps and websites for advertising purposes. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws, that disclosure is "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we treat it as such. The categories shared are identifiers and internet-activity information; the recipients are the advertising partners described in §6.
Your Privacy Choices — opting out of sharing
You can opt out of the sharing described above at any time, using any of these methods:
- Email us at contact@ringoz.ai with the subject "Opt out of sharing". We will configure your installation to receive only non-personalised advertising and confirm within 15 business days. Please write from the device you use, or tell us the name you use in the App, so we can locate your installation.
- Use your device's controls — the settings described in §6.5 (iOS: Tracking and Apple Advertising; Android: Ads) limit ad personalisation at the operating-system level, which stops identifier-based sharing at the source.
- Go Premium — the paid tier shows no advertising, so no ad-related sharing occurs at all while your subscription is active.
We are building an in-app "limit ad sharing" control and support for the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, and will update this policy when they ship. We do not use the information described in this policy for profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
11. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide Ringoz to you:
- Your ringtones and library are kept until you delete them, or until you ask us to delete your data (§12). We do not automatically delete your ringtones after a fixed period. Ringtones you have not opened in a long time may be moved to lower-cost archival storage; this does not change your access to them.
- Your installation record — install identifier, device and App information, most recent IP address, subscription state, and campaign identifiers — is kept for as long as the installation is active, and afterwards for as long as we need it for security, anti-abuse, accounting, and legal purposes.
- Analytics, advertising, and diagnostic events are kept for the periods applied by the providers named in §5 and by us for product analysis.
- Published share pages remain available until they are removed (see §8.2 and §12).
- Aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer be linked to you may be kept indefinitely.
We may introduce storage limits for the free tier in the future — for example, a maximum number of stored ringtones or a retention period for older free-tier content. If we do, we will give reasonable advance notice through the App or this policy before it takes effect.
12. Deleting Your Data
You can ask us to delete your data at any time:
- Email contact@ringoz.ai, or
- Submit the form at ringoz.ai/data-deletion.
You can also delete individual ringtones from your library inside the App, and you can remove the App from your device.
Please read the following honestly-stated limits before you rely on this process:
- Deletion requests are handled manually by a person, not by an automated system.
- Your data is keyed to your installation, not to an email address. Because Ringoz has no accounts, an email address you send us usually cannot be matched to your in-App data on its own. To act on your request we generally need identifying information from within the App — for example, the identifier shown in the App's settings or support screen, the share links of ringtones you created, or the store receipt for a purchase. If we cannot connect your request to a specific installation, we may not be able to locate the data, and we will tell you so.
- Published share pages are removed on request, not automatically. Deleting a ringtone in the App does not by itself take down a page you previously shared. Ask us and we will remove it.
- Some information is kept after a deletion request where we are required or permitted to keep it — for example, purchase and tax records, security and abuse logs, and records of the deletion request itself.
- Information already collected by advertising partners under their own policies must be addressed to those partners; we will point you to their controls.
13. Your Privacy Rights
The rights available to you depend on where you live. To exercise any of them, contact contact@ringoz.ai or use the form at ringoz.ai/data-deletion. The practical limits described in §12 apply to all of these requests.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
13.1 EEA, UK, and Switzerland
If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and obtain a copy;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- erase your data ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict processing in certain circumstances;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to object at any time to processing for direct marketing;
- data portability — receive data you provided in a structured, machine-readable format and have it transmitted to another controller where technically feasible;
- withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent (for example, personalised advertising and push notifications), without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal;
- not be subject to solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects — we do not make such decisions; and
- lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
13.2 United States (state privacy laws)
Depending on your state of residence — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws — you may have the right to:
- know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose to;
- delete personal information we have collected from you;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- portability — obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, of targeted advertising, and of profiling in furtherance of decisions with legal or similarly significant effects (see §10 — Your Privacy Choices); and
- appeal a decision we make on your request.
Authorised agents may submit requests on your behalf where state law allows, subject to proof of authorisation.
14. International Data Transfers
Ringoz is operated from the United States, and our primary processing and storage takes place in the United States (our cloud infrastructure runs in the AWS us-east-1 region). The providers named in §5 are located in the United States or process data there.
If you use Ringoz from outside the United States — including from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland — your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, which may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country. We rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
15. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls on our infrastructure, and restricted administrative access. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by us.
Please remember that content you choose to share (§8) is published deliberately and is not protected by these measures — it is public.
16. Children's Privacy
Ringoz is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. A parent or guardian who believes their child has provided information to us can contact contact@ringoz.ai.
17. Push Notifications
If you enable notifications, we may send you messages about the App — for example, when a ringtone you requested is ready, about your subscription or pass status, or about important service updates. Delivery uses a device token issued by Apple or Google and routed through our push provider (§5).
You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings, or within the App where that option is offered.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last Updated" date at the top. If we make a material change — for example, a new category of data collection or a new category of recipient — we will provide additional notice through the App or the website before the change takes effect. Continued use of Ringoz after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
