America's Top 100 contest rules

These are the official rules of America's Top 100. They sit alongside our Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy, which also apply to the contest.

1. Sponsor

This contest is sponsored by YESH Studios LLC, 142 W 57 St, New York, NY 10019, United States.

Apple is not a sponsor of this contest and is not involved in it in any way. Google is not a sponsor of this contest and is not involved in it in any way.

2. What the contest is

America's Top 100 is a chart inside the Ringoz app. It is one ongoing chart. It does not reset, it has no seasons, and there is no separate pool of weekly entries. Every live entry is ranked, and the chart shows the top 100.

A contest week runs from Sunday at 5 pm New York time to the next Sunday at 5 pm New York time. When a week closes, the entry in first place wins that week, and a new week starts right away.

To keep the chart full, Ringoz also places ringtones from its Picks and Styles on it. These are not entries, and they can never win.

Each month, one of that month's weekly winners is drawn at random to receive $500.00. Section 9 explains how.

3. The live finals

Live finals every Sunday, 8PM ET.

Live on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram.

Each week's winner is revealed during the live finals, at 8 pm New York time on the Sunday the week closes.

4. Who may enter

Anyone who has the Ringoz app may enter, wherever they live.

To enter, your ringtone must be one you made yourself in Ringoz, and its words must be sung in English or Spanish.

You may enter up to three ringtones per device each day. The day resets at midnight New York time. An entry that is later removed or disqualified still counts toward the three for the day it was entered.

Employees of YESH Studios LLC and their households may not enter or vote.

5. How to enter, and how an entry is taken down

Open a ringtone you made and choose Submit to the Top 100. By submitting, you agree to these rules, and the version of these rules in force is recorded with your entry.

Submitting is free. You do not need to buy anything, and Ringoz Premium gives you no advantage when entering or voting.

When you submit, automatic checks look at your entry. An entry is refused if its words carry personal details, such as a phone number, if they use language the Top 100 cannot show, or if the ringtone is not sung in English or Spanish. An entry that passes goes live on the chart at once.

The app does not offer a way to withdraw a live entry. If you want an entry taken down, write to us at contact@ringoz.ai and we will remove it. An episode of our show that already aired your entry is not recut or reposted without it.

6. What happens when you enter

Once you enter, your ringtone's words, its style, and the name you chose are public. They can be seen in the app, on your entry's own page on the web, and on our live show, which is broadcast on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram.

You do not have to give a name. If you leave the name field blank, your entry appears with no name attached.

If your entry wins and joins the Hall of Fame, you may ask us to remove it from the Hall of Fame at any time, and we will.

7. Voting

Voting happens only inside the Ringoz app. There is no voting on the web.

Each device gets one vote per ringtone each contest week. You have to listen to at least 15 seconds of a ringtone, or all of it if it is shorter, before you can vote for it. There is no limit on how many different ringtones you can vote for in a week, and you cannot vote for your own entry.

Every entry starts with the same base score and gains one point for each vote. Votes cast after the Sunday 5 pm close count toward the next week.

Ranks are shown in the app. Vote counts are never shown, to anyone, at any time.

8. How the weekly winner is determined

At the close of each week, Sunday at 5 pm New York time, the entry in first place wins that week. Ringtones that Ringoz placed on the chart from its Picks and Styles are skipped. The winner is revealed at 8 pm New York time the same day, during the live finals. Nothing about the winner is made public before 8 pm.

Ringoz may move, pin, remove, or disqualify an entry at any time to protect the integrity of the chart. Reasons include, without limit, fake or bought votes, scripted or automated devices, abusive recruiting of new installs, and content that breaks these rules or our Terms and Conditions.

The winning entry then leaves the Top 100 chart for good and enters the Hall of Fame. It cannot win again. There is no limit on how many weeks the same person can win with different ringtones.

The weekly prize

The weekly winner gets Premium for life: unlimited use of Ringoz Premium on the winner's device or account, for as long as Ringoz exists. There is no cash alternative, and there is no cash value assigned to this prize.

Alongside Premium for life, the winner is also given a lasting place in the Hall of Fame, a spotlight on our channels, an invitation into our inner circle, and early access to new models and styles. These extra items are recognition from us, not a stated part of the prize's value.

9. The monthly $500 prize

Each calendar month, one of that month's weekly winners is drawn at random to receive $500.00 (five hundred US dollars).

• Which weeks count. A week belongs to the month in which it closes, on Sunday at 5 pm New York time.
• Who is in the draw. That month's weekly winners. Nobody can receive the monthly prize more than once in any 12 months, so a weekly winner who received it in the previous 12 months is left out of the draw.
• The odds. They depend on how many weekly winners the month has, usually four or five, so the odds are usually 1 in 4 or 1 in 5.
• The draw. We run the draw after the month's last Sunday reveal. It is a computer random draw, recorded in a log that a second person at Ringoz reviews.
• How you find out. If you are drawn, we tell you in the app, and by notification if you allow notifications.
• The claim. You claim the prize in the app within 14 days of the draw, by giving your legal name and one email address. We pay the prize to that email address as a digital gift card or through PayPal. Ringoz never asks for a payment, a card, or a password to send a prize.
• Sanctions. We check every claim against government sanctions lists before we pay. We cannot pay a prize to a person or a place under sanctions.
• Alternates. If a drawn winner does not claim within 14 days, or cannot receive the prize, it passes to another of that month's weekly winners, drawn from the same draw, who then has 14 days to claim it.
• Publicity. We name the monthly winner in public only after the claim is confirmed.

No purchase is necessary to win the monthly prize, and buying anything in the app, including Ringoz Premium, does not improve your chances.

10. Weekly winner notification

We tell weekly winners inside the app, and by notification if they allow notifications.

After you win, you may choose to give us a name, an email address, and, optionally, a phone number, so we can reach you about your spotlight and your place in our inner circle. Before it asks for anything, the app asks you to confirm that you are 13 or older. Giving us this information is optional, and Premium for life does not depend on it.

Your contact details are stored apart from your ringtone and app data, with restricted access, and we delete them 12 months after your Hall of Fame listing ends, if it ever does.

11. Content rules

Your entry, and the name you choose to attach to it, may not do any of the following:

• Name or otherwise identify a private person without that person's consent.
• Contain profanity, or hateful language directed at a person or group.
• Harass, threaten, or target anyone.
• Impersonate a real person, brand, or organization.

An entry that breaks these rules is refused before it goes public, or removed afterward if we find it later.

You can report an entry from its menu in the app, and we review every report. You can also block a maker, so that their entries no longer show to you.

12. Disqualification and questions

We may disqualify an entry or a voter for breaking these rules or for fraud, at our discretion, and a disqualified entry simply leaves the chart. If your entry is disqualified, you will see a note about it in the app.

13. Changes to these rules

We may change these rules from time to time. Each version carries a version number and a date, shown at the top of this page. A change takes effect at the next weekly close, and it is announced in the app before then, except where we must change a rule right away for a legal reason.

14. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information, and it applies to this contest too.

When you vote, we record your device's install id, your IP address, the time of your vote, how long the app has been installed, and whether the install arrived through an entry link, so we can count votes and review the chart for fraud. We keep this voting record for 90 days, then delete it.

Monthly prize claims are stored encrypted and apart from your app data, with restricted access, and are deleted 90 days after the prize is paid or the claim expires.

15. Governing law

These rules, and any dispute about the contest, are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

This contest is void wherever it is prohibited by law. If we need to name countries or regions where a prize cannot be awarded, we will list them on this page.
